90 Day Wondering (1956) United States Army/Warner Bros. Directed by seasoned Warner Bros. animator Chuck Jones and featuring the voice of Mel Blanc, we see young soldier Ralph Phillips re-entering the civilian world and puzzling over reenlisting.
Two spritely characters, Pete and Re-Pete, try to sway his decision. Since this was produced for the U.S. Army, we can guess which argument comes out on top. The character Ralph Phillips shows up as a hyper-imaginative kid in other Warner Bros. cartoons in Boyhood Daze and From A to Z-Z-Z-Z. He also appears as a young adult facing the draft in Drafty, Isn’t It?
